MS Mail

Request an Account

Faculty and staff who prefer Unix-based email may request an MS email account. MS allows for POP/IMAP access. To submit your request:

  • Go to the following URL: https://adam.cc.sunysb.edu (this can only be done from a computer on campus or from off campus using dialup)
  • Be sure to select MS as the account option.

Someone from the Computer Accounts office will call you to notify you that your account is ready and to verify your User ID and password.

Change Password

You are required to change your MS password 3 months. If you are using Microsoft Outlook or another program to POP your MS mail you will never see the Unix prompt that notifies you that your password is about to expire. Once your password expires you must go through Unix to change it.
