NetID
NetID is used for access to University services such as SINC Site machines and printing, MySBfiles, Blackboard, ResNet, SUNYSB.edu Domain, and SUNYSB.edu administrative shares.
Lotus Notes
Lotus Notes is the primary email/calendaring system for faculty and staff.
MS
MS is a secondary email system for faculty and staff that allows for POP/IMAP access.
Oracle Discoverer
Oracle Discoverer is a "data warehouse" of PeopleSoft information. It is used by some departments to access certain Student Data Reports.
PeopleSoft
PeopleSoft is Stony Brook's Administrative technology solution for integrating information in the Student Administration areas, Human Resources, Budget, and Finance.
RF Business System
The RF Business System consists of the Oracle suite of grants management and human resources applications. It is used by administrative offices that conduct research activity and serve the Stony Brook research community.
SOLAR System
The SOLAR System is the online self service system used by University students, faculty and staff to manage personal information, register for classes, submit grades, etc.
SUNYSB.EDU
SUNYSB.edu accounts are used to: log into departmental computers on the campus domain and to access SUNYSB.edu administrative shares. SUNYSB.edu accounts are now your NetID!
SUNY/SMRT
SUNY/SMRT are used by department account managers to view State account allocation, expenditure and encumbrance balances and to reconcile AEPC Visa card purchases.
